Great Day to Vermicompost

Great day with the Volunteers at RC Waste

They are my local go-to for all things composting related. I can buy worm bins, geo bins at this location in

So while looking for a geobin at Rcwaste.org, which is Riverside County Department of Waste Resources I was delighted to find out that they offered an in person composting class!

I was so glad I decided to attend in person. The volunteers here answered so many questions I had about composting and vermicomposting. I had attended a class a few years ago—but there’s still a learning curve. I found I’ll have more questions as I dig in to the world of composting

They were so welcoming and were so helpful at answering my questions! Truly made for a great informative morning

Classes are free for all Riverside County residents. For a list go to http://rcwaste.org

Recycling Plastic

This has been a project years in the making…so I broke down and purchased a Plastic Cards Waste recycle pouch from Terracyclehttp://terracycle

I have mounds of cards to recycle, from old used gift cards to expired membership cards. I always felt bad about throwing them in the trash so I kept them in a box on my desk. Now I am about to sort through and cut up old cc numbers and send the pouch back through UPS.

Fresh Local Produce

I love our local food co op though sometimes an entire produce box is too much for our family of four to consume in a timely manner.

So I was delighted to discover a local family farm minutes from our home.

Corona Farms has a variety of produce grown on site. What a sight!
